Clément Oberto was born in in Toulouse, south of France.

He wrote and published two short novels at very young age, and then, as a teenager, exercised his creativity through painting. After a few exhibitions in France and Iceland he joined ETPA a multimedia school, where he graduated with the 'Grand Prix' for his interactive short film 'Les Oubliés' (which also gathered multiple awards in French and International festivals).

Following this first success, he relocated to Paris to study directing at EICAR, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and quicky started to develop a unique vision for everything from fashion films, to commercials, short film, music videos and videoart.

In 2012, he launched a production company called 'Oversteps Production' and started to work on 'Matin Lunaire', an ambitious visual short film, which received in 2014 multiple awards, including Best Music Video at the Las Vegas Film Festival, Best VFx at the London Fashion Film Festival, a Vimeo Staff Pick and a lot of press... Few months later he started to work with the production companies 'Bandits' in France and 'Motion Theory' in America, before making the final decision to sign with 'RSA Films & Black Dog'.

Since then he relocated to Los Angeles and directed numerous commercials Eres, Chaumet, Givenchy, Hilton & Highland, Barrie, Lancôme, Morreale — music videos — Christina Aguilera, Gary Clark Jr., Zhavia, Mr. Flash, Plaid, Anjulie and saw his work being featured in Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Good Morning America, TIME, Billboard...and gather more than 50 million views.

 

Clément is now represented by Left Productions in France & USA.
